Jenni on Instagram: "Eric Carle Inspired Artwork 🎨 The children had lots of fun creating artwork inspired by the coloured circles in Eric Carle's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" book. We started with an exploration of coloured paint with brushes, sponges, texture stamps & sponge rollers. Each day we explored a different colour range, to match the colours & shades in Eric Carle's circles. The children enjoyed mixing the colours, creating lots of colour variation in their artwork. When the paintings dried, I used a circle hole punch to cut out circle shapes. The circles are 2". We used the circles to make a collaborative art piece. The children used a clear glue paste to stick them down on a large sheet of paper. The artwork is displayed on the wall, and I'll share some photos soon of our Eri
