an array of wires are shown in the dark with light coming from them and on top of each other
LIGHT\TRACE No. 12 by ATARA design at KreativRaum Gallery Vienna
The light pours in gentle waves over the LIGHT\TRACE No. 12 installation set into the steel reception desk. The folds in the palladium-coated fabric create a three-dimensionality that gives the installation body and creates interesting light reflections. Depending on the viewer's position and the time of day, the delicate lines of light appear clear or subtle, creating a focal point in the gallery space. ©RobertLoeschPhotoGraphics

LIGHT\TRACE No. 2
“With its organic form and fine fabric structure, this fascinating light object looks like a structure from nature.” (Jury statement for the German Design Award 2017 Special Mention). The design of LIGHT\TRACE No. 2 comes from the inspiration of waves that curl up, powerful and gentle at the same time. The transparent fibre optics in the white fibreglass fabric subtly emit their light into the room. The fact that the fine fibre optics are woven into the fabric by hand in two different directions
LIGHT\TRACE No. 7 - light flows in gentle waves over the cylindrical light object
In gentle waves, the light flows symmetrically over the cylindrical body of LIGHT\TRACE No. 7, creating fine traces of light. The darker it is, the more the cylinder visually dissolves, leaving only the curved lines of light. This is made possible by the two-tone fabric, which is palladium coated.
In this light installation, fine fiber optics are embedded between several layers of handmade paper. The surface is partially applied with palladium. Unique is the atmosphere that is created in the room by the fact that the fiber optics are distributed over the artwork surface in a seemingly random arrangement and one can visually lose oneself in them. Heike Stuckstedde aka ATARA design was invited to create a light installation along a 60-metre wall in Klenzepark Ingolstadt. Its delicacy, its softness, its touch of nothingness combined with light, gives the installation something mystical in the midst of nature and creates a subtle atmosphere. For this, fibre optics were drawn into white filament yarn. 10 Things
