Comic Books? Seriously?
That's right, I'm talking about comic books. They are some of the most expensive and desired books in the world. And many of them are only 50 to 60 pages of tiny vintage artwork and brief story lines. But they include the origins of many culturally significant superhero characters that we all know and love today. Action Comics issue #1 features the very first appearance of Superman, and is recognized as the start of the superhero genre. The comic sold for 10 cents when it was first published in April of 1938. The highest CGC copy of issue #1 is graded as 9.0 Very Fine/Near Mint (on a scale of 1 to 10) which sold on eBay in 2014 for $3.2 million.
