There is something in how I roll downward with the wire using my thumbs as a fulcrum that seems to work. I’ve been making this form for some time now and this method began to show up in my process several years ago. It’s cool being in this way of creating for long enough to witness the evolution of process I thought was complete. It sounds cliche to say, of course it never ends. It makes me think of other forms of creation, thought to be complete. ✌🏽 . . . . . #ceramics #ceramica #ceramicdaily #pottery #poterie #poteries #poteriedudon #poterieartisanale #wheelthrown #instapottery #potterylove #ceramicpitcher #potterypitcher #handmadepitcher #handmadelife #satisfyingvideo #nomolds | Spinning Earth Pottery

First, black glaze is applied to the plate, and a circular tool called a Hama is placed on top. Then, white glaze is splattered over it to create a star-like pattern. Finally, the Hama is removed, leaving a round, unglazed area as part of the design. #japaneseart#japanesepottery#eijirotokunaga#pottery#ceramics#glazing#wabisabi | Eijiro Tokunaga 徳永榮二郎
