Sherri Davidson on Instagram: "FRENCH ONION SOUP INGREDIENTS: - 4 medium yellow onions (sliced into moon shapes🌙) - 3 cloves of garlic (chopped) - 2 tbsp olive oil - 2 tbsp butter - 1 tsp flour - 1 tbsp Worchester sauce - 1 cup of dry white wine - 3 sprigs of thyme - 6 cups of beef broth - 1 baguette (sliced for toasting) - grated gruyere cheese - Salt and pepper to taste In a large pot over medium heat, add in your olive oil, butter, onions, and salt. Let that caramelize and cook down for about 40 minutes. Stir often. Monitor the heat to make sure they don’t burn. Next add in your garlic, flour, Worchester sauce, dry wine, some thyme leaves, and broth. Cover and simmer for an additional 10 minutes. While that’s happening toast your baguette slices.
