South Yarra Townhouse is a modern two-story house located in Melbourne, Australia, designed in 2019 by Winter Architecture.

Threaded into a long, slender lot, two units come together as a cohesive whole. Their experience is made fluid through a series of interlocking volumes, oak floor tying the sequence together, offset against bright interiors and marble accents to give each space a lithe, breathy air. This lightness is clear on the interior — where spaces, awash with sun, are wide and capacious — and emphasized by a brief moment of heaviness in the transition from the exterior, which is rendered in dark tones…
