Dark hedges

Taken a few days ago and the mist was still lingering but the summer sunshine was beginning to win the battle. The light was perfect to capture the depth in the line of entwined tree trunks and gaps in the line to let the sun peak through.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I arrived at the Dark Hedges early on the last morning of September. A thick mist hung over the entire Causeway Coast that morning, and as the sun fought its way through the fog, it lit up the road through the Dark Hedges.
