• Make a flour and water paste that is nice and thick. Like almost paste like more so than pancake like. It can’t be watery at all or it won’t work well. Whisk out and clumps. 
• I started painting it on with a brush but quickly moved to using my hands to spread it all around. 
• Let the paste dry completely. The edges should start rolling up when it’s drying. 
• Now comes the really fun part. Crunch it up to create cracks. The more crunching you do the more cracks you’ll have. 
• Time to paint on the dye! For this I like to thicken my dye with some cornstarch so it doesn’t bleed away from the cracks too much.
