Details of the wall at the Gold Drawing-room of Hermitage museum (Saint Petersburg, Russia). I was completely stunned when I saw it. This interior in the apartments of Empress Maria Alexandrovna, the wife of Alexander II, was created by the architect Alexander Briullov in 1838-41. The ceiling is decorated with gilded mouldings.
