🧚🏻Dry flowers protect your plants from frost, so it is recommended to leave them over winter and start pruning in early Spting
🧚🏻Hydrangea arborescens and paniculata bloom on new wood so dormant pruning does not reduce blossoms. 
TOP TIP!!!⬇️
🧚🏻If you cut your hydrangeas all the way back to the ground, your plants will produce less flowers, but they’ll be very large. 
🧚🏻If you cut back 1/3 of the plant, your hydrangeas will produce more flowers and they will be smaller. I personally prefer smaller blooms on sturdier stems and I only cut back 1/3 of the plant.
