For decades a low-budget, high-energy punk rock scene has been burning through the back yards and empty lots of East Los Angeles, Boyle Heights and South Central Los Angeles. If the new documentary "Los Punks: We Are All We Have" is any indication, the neighbors aren't too happy about it, but the mohawked kids keep coming anyway.

Punk London is a year-long festival celebrating 40 years of icons and fans in the capital.

Jon Savage punk fanzine from 1977. I bought it from Camden Market circa 1982. I hope its the original, not sure, each page is only printed on one side. Easy for someone to just photocopy the original.

Photographer Michael Jang captured the Sex Pistols' final performance and other groundbreaking moments as the Bay Area punk scene exploded in the 1970s.

More staples of punk fashion- bright, garish coloured hair, spikes, chains, pattern trousers/leggings/skirt (tartan was, and still is, particular popular) and of course, the infamous Mohawk.
