🙋‍♀️Do SQUATS always hurt your knees? Oof. There’s nothing worse than that shooting pain right around your kneecap when you try to do a squat. 😩 However, adding a miniband around your knees while you do squats can do wonders, and for many people, virtually eliminate that pain all together. 

WHY? 🤷‍♀️ Because a squat should be using your big hip muscles, like your glutes and hamstrings, not just your knee muscles (quads). And when you put that band on and push out against it, it will instantly fire up all the big muscles, taking the load off of your knee. 

💥 Most people that have knee pain actually have really weak hips (gasp!) So this squat is actually one of my favorite exercises to give to clients with knee pain that could use much stronger hips.
