If you've had trouble making pie dough from scratch here are three tips to keep in mind:⁣
⁣
1. Do not over mix — the dough should still be crumbly when you are done mixing.⁣
⁣
2. Use a tea towel to "finish" the mixing by twisting the crumbles into a beggar's purse. I learned this from @califrenchcuisine years ago at one of her cooking classes, and it has been game changing to prevent over mixing.⁣

3. Use a food processor and pulse never purée.⁣ I learned this recipe from @davidlebovitz, and it comes out super flaky every time.

I suppose I have one more tip: cold butter, cold water.⁣
