Wotruba Church Extension

Extension of the Wotruba Church by f2p architects. The church is an icon of brutalism and was built by Fritz Wotruba. The task was to create a barrier-free access as well as a new light-flooded community room. The basic design idea was to integrate the desired uses in the best possible way in the existing hill, which forms the basis of the church. The connection to the church is not in the formal language but rather in the materiality: concrete, stainless steel, glass, and larch wood.
