a woman laying on top of a bed next to a window with the words, this is an amazing stretch for your pelvic floor, low back and hips
37K views · 206 reactions | This is one of my absolute favorite stretches for the low back, psoas, hips and pelvic floor. One of the most important things to understand about the pelvic floor and low back is that they are very much affected by the “regions” surrounding them. 💡If our hips and psoas are very tight - then our #lowback and #pelvicfloor will be more reactive. Our pelvic floor simply does not exist in a silo. If you are seeking long-term resolution to pain and issues, it’s very important to address areas like the inner thighs, deep hips, psoas, core, and breathing patterns. The best part about this exercise is that you can do it from your bed. 1. Both your leg and your arm on the same side are dangling. So do it on the corner of your bed. 2. Side bend your torso away from your dangling thigh. 3. Then hold your opposite leg pull it open and in words towards your armpit. 4. Tuck your pelvis under you so that your low back is not over arching - especially with all the dangling! 💜 If you are looking for somatic, kind and intelligent workouts like this in a “push play and follow” format....and want ✔️An empowering approach to getting stronger / more functional in your core / pelvic floor ✔️An approach that never shames and always educates and an approach that considers your nervous system… … then join over 14,000 people using Restore Your Core program online to strengthen, heal, and restore. 🔗 In my profile. #restoreyourcore #yogateacher #yogateachertraining #pelvicfloorpt #somatichealing #somatic #nervoussystem #pelvicfloorexercises #pelvicfloorphysicaltherapy #pelvicfloordysfunction #pilatesathome #hormonebalance #hormoneimbalance #selfcare #prolapse #pelvicpain | Lauren Ohayon: Core, Pelvic Floor + More Movement
