Saints Genevieve and Apollonia 1506, Lucas Cranach the Elder The National Gallery The red lacing appears to have been added later by an unskilled hand. Red stripes have also been applied to the Genevive's grey sleeve. It's possible the grey sleeve is preliminary shading awaiting the application of goldtones and blackwork decoration to complete the image.
