INGREDIENTS:
• 1 lemon
• 2 garlic cloves
• 3/4 cup of heavy cream
• butter
• parmesan cheese
• red pepper flakes
• pasta
HOW TO MAKE:
• melt 4 tbsp of butter in a pan over medium heat and sauté 2 minced cloves of garlic (substitute for garlic powder)
• cook pasta until al dente and reserve 1/4 cup of of the pasta water
• to the pan, add heavy cream, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, and the juice of one lemon
• let this simmer for 5-10 minutes and then add freshly grated parmesan
• add al dente pasta into the sauce pan and mix together until sauce thickens, adding more cheese and lemon juice as needed
• add a splash of reserved pasta water to thin the sauce as needed
• top with more parmesan, pepper, lemon zest & enjoy!
