8'L x 44"W x 30"H This dining table is a Dancing Grains Woodworks original design. I carefully chose the lines so that they would dare to grab attention, yet still intrigue the viewer after careful inspection. They are timeless lines with proportions that allow this piece to present well in many environments. The natural "live edge" of the top brings warmth and an unquantifiable beauty to the table. The quality extends beyond the design and into the actual construction of this table. In order to allow this table to last through the generations, real, hand-cut, wedged, through mortises and tenons are used in the base to be sure that this piece will absolutely maintain its integrity. The wood is local urban salvaged black walnut, which comes from trees removed by arborists on private and public urban Colorado property and which is then milled for woodwork rather than cut up into firewood or left for waste. It is a very sustainable source for material and often produces much more interesting lumber than the standard sources. WE CURRENTLY HAVE SLABS IN STOCK FOR THIS TABLE. To finish off this piece, we use an oil and polyurethane mixture that gives the table a light luster while still allowing the wood grain to shine through. It is not a plasticky finish, but because of the polyurethane and the deep penetration of the 4 coats, it is very durable. This table is made to order.
