Students will investigate the effects of an oil spill to determine how oil reacts with fresh water versus salt water (simulated ocean water); how an oil spill can affect wildlife and consider different items used to clean up spills. All of the supplies you need are environmentally friendly and easy to find unlike real crude oil. This is a laboratory investigation that includes student laboratory questions to answer while conducting this experiment.
