Alix of Hesse, and by Rhine later Alexandra Feodorovna Romanova (6 June 1872—17 July 1918), was Empress consort of Russia as spouse of Nicholas II, last Emperor of the Russian Empire. Born a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the UK, she was given the name Alexandra Feodorovna upon being received into the Russian Orthodox Church, which canonized her as a saint in 2000. She is best remembered as the last Tsarina of Russia, and as one of the most famous royal carriers of the haemophilia disease.

Ludwig Viktor, a brother of Emperor Franz Josef, was born on the 15th May 1842 and died on the 18th January 1919. Ludwig Viktor was homosexual and remained a bachelor all his life. His private life became a problem for his brother Emperor Franz Joseph who eventually insisted on him leaving the capital city Vienna to keep him away the Imperial Court.

In 1889 when Erzsi was a little over age 5, her father Rudolf his mistress Baroness Mary Vetsera were found dead in what was assumed to be a murder-suicide pact at the Imperial hunting lodge. This would be Sissi`s granddaughter
Karl Ludwig, a brother of Emperor Franz Josef, was born on the 30th July 1833 and died on the 19th May 1896. He was the father of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, who was assassinated in Sarajevo in 1914.

Herr and Frau Ferdinand Burg. He was formerly HIRH Archduke Ferdinand Karl of Austria and made a morganatic marriage to the very beautiful Miss Bertha Czuber, losing his titles, wealth and status as a result. He died six years later of tuberculosis.

The Empress Alexandra Feodorovna of Russia (6th June 1872 – 17th July 1918). Before the Revolution, the Russian royal family lived surrounded by enormous wealth and luxury in enormous palaces. Incredibly some of the gorgeous gowns worn by the Empress have survived and can still be seen today…
