Write the year on a piece of tree stump you have cut off of that years Christmas tree. Will have to start doing this when we do a real tree!!

I posted this on FB and everyone loved it....thought it was a more common practice, but I've been doing this since our first married Christmas tree! Cut off a thin "slice" off your trunk, drill a hole in it, write down any memorable moments from the year (make sure you write down what year it's from!) and use as an ornament for years to come!
