I love being in the Austrian Mountains in autumn when the cows are back in the valley and everything is quiet. That time of the year, the silence is incredible, and the landscape is even more fascinating than in summer when the cattle graze up here. Standing alone on top of the mountain and looking at the peaks and valleys around me always gives me a feeling of pure freedom.

A couple session in a forest in Austria
Dulce and Gebhard did a fantastic job. They climbed through the forest in their lovely outfits, sat on mossy stones, and in the middle of the wild garlic. I am sure we all smelled like wild garlic for the next few days, but this little adventure was worth the effort.

At the end of our couple photoshoot, we hiked up to the top of the mountain, and when we got to the top, we barely believed our eyes. A bright red stripe came into view on the horizon, and slowly the dense clouds cleared, and we could see a breathtaking sunset. I jumped around and was smiling all over my face when I saw it, and I can not believe how fascinating nature is and how awesome and unique it is every day.

We love animals. It is always nice to bring them to a photo session, especially when they look so beautiful, like the husky in the photo.

A couple of days before we wanted to take the pictures we discovered, that the road to that hike was currently closed. When we started to think about plan B, we immediately thought of this lovely place. We had been a few days earlier. Stefanie and Johannes have been as excited about the view as we were. We met in the early evening at the start of the path. We hiked to the top of this mountain, which is not that high but an insider tip.

We went to this place on the day before to check out how much water there is and test where we could get without getting wet. We found some pretty sport for the couple, which was easy to get there, but we didn’t think that we as photographers would have to stand in the middle of the river to get the best perspective for the photo.

We picked them up in the afternoon, and together we drove to the start of the hike. The sun rays shone through the clouds during our ascend to the top and created some fantastic light mood.
