Sitzmaschine by Josef Hoffmann
The history of the house of WITTMANN has been significantly influenced by Josef Hoffmann. As an important representative of the Viennese Art Nouveau era and contemporary of Gustav Klimt, it is only natural to bow down to the two celebrities with this installation in the pavilion of our Viennese showroom. SHILO​​ ​​ The contrast between the precisely upholstered shell and the casual seat mat gives SHILO its special character. ​​ The cushion is manufactured as a separate element and can be easily removed and changed using Velcro fasteners. CONTESSA 1956
CONTESSA 1956 The original was the first modern piece of furniture produced by WITTMANN after the war: a “sporty piece” raked sharply backwards and firmly upholstered like a sports car seat. All of the experience built up by the manufacturer over the past 60 years – as well as state-of-the-art technology and materials – went into developing this modern-day reedition.
